スクランブル・ダンスプロジェクト「いま、生まれたばかり」

1) About Scramble Dance Project
At Scramble Dance Project, both people with and without disabilities dance together. The project began in 2016 in Odawara city, Japan.
All kinds of people take part in our workshops: people of various ages, occupations and abilities. Some are professional dancers, some work, some are students, some are in wheelchairs, and some can barely speak. But we all love to dance.
The workshops are led by butoh dancers: first the late OHNO Yoshito, and now MATSUOKA Dai. With the guidance of the leader, we move our bodies freely in response to music, atmosphere, light and wind.
People with disabilities often don’t hold back. Their candid expressions are infectious, and even those who are shy at first blossom in the joy of dancing.
Sometimes we choreograph something together, sometimes we copy one person’s beautiful movements.
The barriers between people with and without disabilities disappear as we connect through dance.
And the more we dance, the more we are convinced.
Convinced that every person is unique and irreplaceable.
People who watch us sense this, and can’t help but move their bodies too.
All of us living in the here and now, united through dance.
This is Scramble Dance Project.

2) About “Born Just Now!”
With mountains, a city and the sea, Odawara is a place of many faces. A city rich with nature, in harmony with the community who lives there. There is great beauty in the people of Odawara, as they dance with joy with the rich nature, winds, sea, sun, greenery and earth. For those of us that live here, every place is precious, and every step is a precious step. With every step forward, we move to the future…
This dance film is divided into four themes: Light, Sea, Town and Life.

We all start life in our mother’s belly. Relying on light and sound, we travel towards birth, glowing with life as we inch our way to the outside world. Our dance begins here.

The sea is mother to all life, and we are connected to all life in the sea. As we give thanks to the cycle of life, we promise to live our lives to the fullest. Confirming our own intentions our bodies rejoice, and come to life in celebration.

Kindness connects our hearts. In this world we support each other, brush our hearts against one another as we weave our future together. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone in the world could do the same?

Ubusuna is the guardian deity of the land on which we are born. A newly born life emits a pure radiance with no attributes or connections. Ubusuna watches over this radiance, and teaches us how to live with others to light our path for the future. This ODAWARA DANCE! celebrates the land that has supported the Scramble Dance Project members in this creation.

・NPO LAND FES
A non-profit organisation that aims to promote performing arts and participatory live events, and create a diverse society through projects that creatively combine “performing arts”, “local communities” and “minorities”.
Since 2011 they have held an annual mobile performing arts event “LAND FES”, which takes place in the city. They have also been involved in organising workshops for people with disabilities since 2014. In 2020 they started the “LAND FES PLUS” community with the aim of connecting to a post-pandemic life, producing dance films set in various locations.

・Art de Vivre
A support facility for people with disabilities in Odawara city. Based on the wish for people with disabilities to be able to live a life of their own choosing, the organisation works together with art director NAKATSUGAWA Hiroaki to run creative activities with the aim of generating income to help the participants become socially independent. The name “Art de Vivre” comes from the French word meaning “to live as you are”.

2005年より山海塾に舞踏手として参加。「金柑少 年」「とばり」「卵熱」「ARC」などの主要作品に出演中。2011年より、街を歩きながらミュージシャンと ダンサーによるライブを鑑賞するウォーキング形式のパフォーマンスイベント「LAND FES」を主宰。2018年より小田原市にて、障がいの有無を越えて共にダンスを創る「スクランブル・ダンスプロジェクト」で講師を務める。NYのシアターカンパニー「Phantom Limb Company」の舞台に出演するなど、海外アーティストとのコラボレーションも多数。Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL スペシャル13 「Tokyo Real Underground」キュレーター。

武田直之、Datakestra、Anuthaという3つの名義で活動中の作編曲家/DJ。アーティストとして海外向けに楽曲を発表する傍ら、プロジェクト大山、五十嵐結也のダンス作品にも音楽家として参加。また、NHK「天才てれびくん」、大成建設ギャルリー・タイセイ「バーチャル・ギャラリー」、 富岡製糸場、TOYOTA LexusのWebプロモーションムービーなど、各種プロジェクトに楽曲を提供している。iriやHeartbeat、lyrical schoolといったJpopアーティストのトラックプロデュースも手がける。

大阪モード学園卒業後、劇団四季に11年在団。退団後は斉藤惇夫原作のミュージカル「冒険者たち〜この海の彼方へ〜」、to R mansion「The Wonderful Parade」（第5回世田谷区芸術アワード”飛翔”舞台芸術部門受賞）、フィンランド×日本現代サーカス交流プロジェクト「Air /エアー」などの衣装デザイン、プランニングを担当。

2011年より舞台芸術の新しい鑑賞方法を普及するために吉祥寺、高円寺、中延、仙川などの街を舞台にした移動型のパフォーマンスイベント「LAND FES」を継続して実施。同時に、障害を持つ人々を対象にしたワークショップを2014年から積極的に重ねている。2020年にはポストパンデミックの活動に繋げていくためのコミュニティ「LAND FES PLUS」を開始し、様々なロケーションを舞台にしたダンス映像の製作と配信を行っている。
